1 Pond conditions and supporting construction
1.1 pond conditions: an area of ​​2-3 acres is appropriate, rectangular. The subsoil is loamy soil. It is best to add a layer of sand and stones around it. The water retention performance is good. The water depth is about 2 meters; the environment is quiet.
1.2 Water quality conditions: abundant water resources, good water quality, no pollution; a well-established intake and drainage system, so that irrigation can be carried forward, and drainage can be guaranteed.
1.3 Anti-escape facilities: Use double-layer polyethylene film to prevent crabs from fleeing.
2 Fish breeding
2.1 Water Quality Cultivation: The pond is strictly in accordance with the requirements of the clear pond. After 7 days, the clear pond is filled with water to a depth of 50 cm. When the water enters the water, it is filtered with a 40-mesh crepe, and then green feed is used to cultivate plankton.
2.2 Fish fry stocking: When the plankton biomass reaches its peak, the fry is released. The water quality of the fish rear pond is generally as follows: water is injected once every 7 days or so, each time the water is injected about 10 centimeters, so that the transparency is maintained at 75cm, and the water level at the later stage is maintained at 1-1.5. 2.3 Feeding and management: Frequent turning of green manure in the first five days of fry feeding is beneficial to the reproduction and growth of zooplankton and provides more live bait for fish. Feed 4 to 5 times daily at the beginning and 3 times daily thereafter. The feed must be invested enough, 50% - 60% of the weight of the early stage fish, and reduced to about 20% according to the growth of the fish. When feeding, it should be determined according to the specific circumstances. After about one month of intensive cultivation, when the fish species size reaches 10cm or more in the middle or late June, it is fed in adult fish ponds.
3 The stocking of fingerling stocks of fish stocks should be reasonably combined according to the requirement of 350kg of net production fish. Based on several years of trials and local sales, we chose the California-based maggots and polyculture of oysters and crabs.
California salmon species that require stocking are tidy, robust, and lively swimmers, free from illness and injury. The eel fry can be stocked before and after the Spring Festival. The crabs are stocked 3 to 5 days before they are stocked with California eels, and stocking specifications are uniform and their bodies are robust.
4 Feeding management
4.1 Feed: Feeds fed during the adult fish breeding stage are mainly diced chilled, low value trash fish. The feed we use is chilled barley. The size of the fish depends on the individual size of the Californian. The large-size fish species that have just been stocked are generally cut into 0.5cm wide pieces of fish. As the fish grows, the fish pieces grow. Gradually widen to 1cm, 1.5cm, 2cm.
4.2 tame food: large-scale fish species need to rest for 2-3 days after stocking, because freshly-cooked California salmon is not adapted for a while and will not immediately eat. The small fish should be thrown around the pond, 1.5kg each time, and 2-3 shots a day, around 8am and 4pm. Through one week of tame food, most fish can come to snatch food.
4.3 "Four Ding" baiting: In the summer when the water temperature is high, it is fed twice. At 8 o'clock in the morning and at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the amount is 1 and the amount of feeding is basically the same. When the spring and autumn water temperature is above 10 o C, about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Feed it once. When the water temperature in winter is below 10°C, it is basically not fed, only when the fish wants to eat.
Quantitative: According to the water temperature, weather, and water quality, the most important thing is to determine the amount of feed according to the fish's diet and body weight. According to the analysis of the feeding situation of the Californian carp hosted by the pond in the past two years, the juvenile fish feed rate is 8% on a daily basis. At 10%, the daily feeding amount of adult fish is 5%-8%.
Qualitative: Feeds must be fresh or chilled, low-value fish. Impossible corruption of feed fish is strictly prohibited in order to prevent disease.
Positioning: When you begin to acclimate, you can set a few more throws, and then focus on feeding 2-3 throws.
4.4 Routine management: Because Californian catfish are poorly tolerant to hypoxia, they require high water quality when feeding, and they need to change the water according to the weather and water quality. Keep a pond once every 35 days, try not to divide the pond as much as possible, check the anti-escape facilities regularly to prevent crabs from fleeing.
5 fish disease prevention and control of California's disease resistance is relatively strong, and generally less incidence, only when the separation due to operations and other factors caused by scratches are susceptible to disease. Therefore, the number of diversions should be reduced as much as possible, and regular disinfection with 0.1 ppm concentration of strong chlorine should be used regularly. Incidence of norfloxacin, oxytetracycline and other drugs.
6 Experience
6.1 The pond is home to Californian clams. It is best to have oysters and crabs. According to experience, the zooplankton in the main Californian pond is particularly prolific and provides a rich feed for earthworms, which is more than double the local price of earthworms. Crabs can be decontaminated, and animal feed that is deposited on the ground is the most popular feed for crabs.
6.2 Feeding California quail feeds must be fresh and use throwing throws when feeding to increase feed movement time in the air and attract California baboons to snatch food.
6.3 The specifications of the same pool must be uniform, as far as possible no longer split the pond during the breeding process, reduce the loss of fish, as long as adequate feeding, feeding carefully, better tame, most of the fish specifications are still relatively uniform.
