On December 1, 2012, Shanghai Jiaotong University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Medical Device Testing Institute to establish a joint laboratory for medical device standards research. Deputy Director Jiao Hong of the State Food and Drug Administration attended the signing ceremony.
Jiao Hong visited the Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering and MED-X Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University and listened to the introduction of research work by researchers. Jiao Hong pointed out that the establishment of the joint laboratory of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shanghai Medical Device Testing Institute is a collaboration between medical device regulatory technology departments and well-known institutions to conduct research on medical device standards, scientific testing instruments and test methods, and technical personnel training. Good exploration is also a platform for mutual promotion and common development. It is hoped that through the cooperation of the school, we will achieve strong alliance and complementary advantages, further enhance the ability of standard research and inspection technology, give full play to the role of medical device technology support system service supervision, and make greater contributions to safeguarding public safety.
