Ginger spot disease mainly damages the leaves, showing a spindle-shaped or oblong, yellow-white, small lesions, 2 to 5 mm long, and the lesions are thin and brittle in the middle, easily broken or perforated. When the condition is serious, the leaves are covered with spots, such as starry spots, so it is also known as Baixing disease. The diseased part can be seen as a small needle-point, conidiospore.
Prevention methods are as follows:
1. Agricultural control: implement crop rotation to avoid continuous cropping; do not grow on low-lying land, pay attention to drainage of drains, clean garden work; prevent partial application of nitrogen fertilizer, increase application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and organic fertilizer, and promote healthy growth of plants.
2. Chemical control: In the early stage of disease, use 70% thiophanate-methyl WP for 1000 times, add 75% bacteriostatic WP 1000 times, spray once every 7-10 days, spray 2～ 3 times.
