Winter application techniques

In winter, the temperature is low, and most of the activities and hazards of pests and diseases are hidden and static. In order to increase the use of pesticides, in addition to choosing pesticides on the road, the following techniques must be mastered in production:
Choose sunny day high temperature medication. Because pests have high temperatures during winter, their food intake and respiratory intensity are greater than those of cold and cloudy weather. Liquid medicines are sprayed on the worm body, and more drugs are brought into the body, which is beneficial for poisoning.
Appropriately increase the dosage. In winter, if pesticides are applied at regular dosages, the pests will not be able to die after taking foods. Therefore, the dosage should be increased appropriately. Specifically, it should be based on the temperature, but it is generally not more than 50% of the conventional dosage. When applying pesticides in winter, water should be added strictly according to the dilution factor, and the amount of water cannot be arbitrarily increased or decreased.
Reasonable selection of pesticides suitable for winter use. In general, stomach poisons and contact poisons are less affected by temperature, and inhalants and fumigants are more affected by temperature. For pesticides such as enemy kills, dichlorvos, dimethoate, methamidophos, etc., low temperatures will significantly affect their insecticidal effects; and pesticides such as deltamethrin, phoxim, and lime sulfur can still be used at lower temperatures. Better insecticidal effect. In addition, the application of herbicides in winter, the display effect of the time is much longer than the application of the high temperature season, after the medication to be patient, as long as the liquid sprayed into place, generally do not need to re-spray.
Pesticides are preferred for soil use. Soil pesticides have a low price. The disadvantage is that they are prone to phytotoxicity. However, the dormant period of fruit trees is resistant to pesticides. Controlling pests with pesticides such as Bordeaux mixture and lime sulfur is economical and effective.
Pay attention to extend the safety interval of pesticides. When pesticides are applied in winter, the degradation rate of pesticides will be slower, and the residual period of pesticides in crops will be relatively prolonged. In winter, when pests and diseases of vegetable crops are to be controlled, special attention should be paid to prolonging the safety intervals of pesticides to ensure human health.
