Using high-quality male rabbits to improve the genetics of average or individual females, and selecting top-performing males and females from their offspring, helps maintain strong genetic lines. It’s important not to use low-quality males to mate with high-quality females, as this can compromise the genetic integrity of the breed. Additionally, the performance of offspring should be carefully evaluated to ensure that only the strongest and healthiest individuals are selected for future breeding. Strict control over the age and weight of rabbits at mating is also necessary.
