During this period, it's crucial to time the growth of autumn shoots appropriately to develop strong mother branches, manage winter shoots effectively, and focus on thinning flower spikes during flowering to improve fruit set. Additionally, consistent monitoring and control of pests and diseases are vital for long-term yield and stable production. Here are the key techniques during the fruiting phase:
1. After the panicle reaches 4-6 cm in length or shortly after thinning, apply a solution of 1000-1500 times diluted polysaponin to promote healthy flower spikes. At the same time, monitor for pests and diseases. If red shooting occurs, manually remove affected leaves or use Huanong Shoot No. 2 to kill young leaves on the flower spikes.
2. Baoguo (fruit protection):
(1) Seven to ten days after female flowers have been pollinated, before the first fruit drop, spray the trees with 920 preservatives and apply a strong fertilizer. After 10-15 days, add a polyphosphoric acid source. Alternatively, use potassium dihydrogen phosphate at a concentration of 0.2%, combined with pest control measures.
(2) Once the fruits start to differentiate into large and small sizes, perform a light fruit thinning. Adjust the number of fruits per spike based on the size of the beans.
(3) After the second physiological fruit drop, apply a high-phosphorus and high-potassium fertilizer to support fruit development. Combine this with foliar sprays to enhance fruit quality. Throughout this process, continue to monitor and manage pests and diseases to maintain healthy crops.
