The gingiva is commonly known as tooth chip, left mouth, scallop, halibut, etc. Its delicate meat, delicious meat, and rich nutrition are well received by consumers in the domestic and foreign markets. Now it has become one of the high quality cold-water cultured species in the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea in the north of China. At present, Shandong, Hebei and Liaoning all have large-scale factory farms, of which Shandong has the largest breeding scale, and there are only 21 factory farms in Weihai City.
In recent years, southern China has also begun to try to culture gums in the winter. Generally, large-scale fingerlings are purchased from late October to early November, and can be listed after being cultivated from April to May. The author combines his own practical work experience to briefly introduce the technology of industrialized aquaculture of gingiva adult fish.
Biological characteristics Classification status The gingiva belongs to the genus Aconitum, Scorpion, Polygonaceae, and Gingo in terms of taxonomic status.
2. Habits of life Gnails are cold, water-based benthic fishes that generally inhabit sandy muddy waters in coastal continental shelves and have a habit of dipping sand. They actively feed at night and do not move during the day. Perennially settled in a certain sea area, there is no long-distance travel habits. The optimum temperature range of the gingiva is 2-27°C, the optimum growth temperature is 12-23°C, and the suitable salt range is 12-31°C.
3. Feeding and growing gums are carnivorous fish that grow mainly in natural sea areas, such as Scorpio, small goby, squid, and talons. Usually crouching on the sea floor, agile when prey. Under artificial feeding conditions, not only small fish, but also artificial diets can be fed.
The gecko's predation method is hunting style. When it sees the object of feeding, it fiercely catches up and swallows it. According to this habit, farmers need to consider the size of the fish when preparing artificial feed, and formulate feeds of different sizes to feed fish of different sizes.
Under artificial breeding conditions, gums grow extremely rapidly. In the water temperature range of 16-27 °C, the average weight of 11 grams, body length of 10 cm fish species, after 13 months of culture, weighing up to 1100 grams.
4. Breeding habits in the natural waters, females 2 years of age, body length of about 35 cm can be sexual maturity; male fish is slightly earlier, body length of 30 cm can be sexual maturity. However, the breeding population is mainly 3-4 years old fish. Artificially cultivated broodstock can reach sexual maturity one year in advance, but young broodstock have a small amount of eggs, so it is better to use 4-5 years of broodstock when artificial breeding.
Industrialized cultured gingiva adult culturing refers to the stage from the beginning of a 10 cm fingerling to a commercial fish size of about 500 g. The common farming methods include three kinds of land indoor factory breeding, sea cage culture and pond breeding. Indoor factory culture technology has been very mature in Shandong and other places.
1. Cultivation ponds Conditioning pools consist of concrete, cement bricks, fiberglass, and canvas. The shape and structure of ponds are basically the same. The general specifications are 30-100 square meters, the depth of the pool is 70-80 centimeters, the bottom of the tank is pot bottom type, and the sewage outlet is located in the center of the bottom of the tank, and a perforated plastic tube with a diameter of 100 mm is used. Set in the sewage outlet to prevent fish escape and slow the flow of water. Two to four inlets are provided for water intake in the same direction so that the water flow is rotated so that excrement and excrement are collected at the bottom of the pool and discharged through the sewage outlet. In addition, because the gums sometimes jump out of the water, the pool wall should be 30-50 cm deeper than the actual water depth.
2. Supporting facilities Factory culture is a new type of farming mode under artificially controlled culture conditions. Its advantage is to use advanced science and technology and equipment to manually control the living conditions of cultured objects, such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, salinity. And so on, so that the cultured objects can grow under the best living conditions. Therefore, to have complete supporting facilities, it mainly includes:
Water treatment facilities: The aquaculture water treatment includes pre-treatment and post-processing. The pre-treatment generally includes filtration and disinfection, mainly to remove suspended particles, ammonia nitrogen and other substances in the water and to kill pathogens, etc.; post-processing is mainly to protect the environment, because the used water in breeding has a lot of nitrogen, phosphorus and other harmful substances, in order to cultivate The sustainable development of the industry and post-processing are very necessary.
Oxygen-increasing facilities: Factory-cultivation is generally also a high-density culture and therefore requires artificial oxygenation.
Temperature control facilities: The best growth temperature required to ensure the growth of farmed fish.
3. Fish species transport can be shipped in special oxygenated plastic bags. Each bag can hold 200-300 tails of 10 cm in length. One-third of the fresh seawater is placed in the bag, filled with oxygen, tightly packed in bags, transported into a foam box, and sometimes filled with a carton outside the foam box. During the hot season, a small plastic bag of ice should be placed in the foam box to cool down. In the case of temperature below 26 °C can be continuous transport 25-30 hours, the survival rate of up to 96%.
4. The product specifications of the stocked larval larvae must be more than 5 cm. However, large-scale species with a body length of more than 10 cm are generally stocked. The stocking density is closely related to the amount of water exchanged, and the amount of water changed is large and the density can be larger. If you can not increase the amount of water, then the density should be smaller. According to the current breeding level, the stocking density is generally 5-15/m2.
5. In order to develop water temperature, special attention should be paid to the water temperature in the development of gums. The suitable water temperature for breeding is 10-27°C, and 15-22°C is the period of rapid growth of gums. When the water temperature is too high or too low for a long time, it can easily cause the death of the gums.
6. The bait used for artificial dieting of bait feed is mainly fed with small crushed fresh pieces of fish or frozen fish and artificially formulated feed. The daily fresh-feeding amount of chilled fish is 10% to 30% of the body weight of the farmed fish, and the amount of artificially-combined feed that is fed daily is approximately 1% to 3% of the body weight of the farmed fish. When the seedlings are first started to be fed four times a day, they can be gradually reduced to two times a day. The amount of bait should be eaten on the same day, and it is advisable not to leave the bait. Because the fish’s food intake has a lot to do with fish size, water temperature and water quality, the breeding process should be adjusted according to the actual situation. The frozen bait is fed and floats on the water, but after being frozen, it is scattered on the bottom of the pool. When the bait has to be patiently fed, ensure that the bait is eaten by the fish before it is scattered. In addition, when the water temperature is too high or too low, or if the water quality is not good, or if the fish's appetite is low, they should be fed less or not.
