Sugarcane tip rot

Symptoms often occur in the southern China sugarcane area. The leaves of infected young leaves lack greenish yellow at the base and are narrower than normal leaves, and the leaves are significantly wrinkled, twisted or shortened. After the diseased leaves are aging, the diseased part is now irregular red spots or red strips, some reddish tissue forms irregular eye-shaped or diamond-shaped perforations, and some form lesions with dark brown edges arranged in a trapezoidal shape, leaf margins, and leaf ends. Dark reddish-brown to black irregular lesions were also formed, and some of the leaves developed a knotted top that was knotted. The leaf sheath is infected with red necrosis or trapezoidal lesions. After the longitudinal section of the pig's head was stained, there were many dark-red streak spots. The section streak was thin line-like, and some sections formed a long depression with a transverse septum. When the disease occurs on one side of the stem, it causes the cane stem to bend. When the disease is most severe, shoot rot is formed, the surrounding tissue of the growing point becomes soft and brown, and the heart leaves become necrotic, causing the entire sugarcane to die. Some varieties of lateral buds rarely germinate.

The pathogen Gibberella fujikuroi (Saw.) Wollenw called Fusarium glauca, an Ascomycete subphylum fungus. The ascostic shell occasionally appears on the surface of the host lesion, spherical or ovoid, blue-purple. Ascido-bar-shaped, colorless, endogenous ascospores. Ascospores oval, double-celled, contracted at divisions. The anamorphic state is Fusarium moniliforme Sheldon is called Fusarium moniliforme, a fungus belonging to the subphylum Fungi. The mycelium is fine, colorless, irregular in branching, and sometimes several hyphae combine to form spores. There are two kinds of conidia: small conidia single cells, long egg form, size 6.5 ~ 112.8 ~ 3.5 (μm), string on the top of conidial stalk; large conidia scorpion-shaped, with a diaphragm 3 ~ 7 , size 30-653.5-4.2 (μm), born on aerial hyphae or conidia.

Transmission Pathways and Pathogenic Conditions Diseases and pathogens on the soil surface of the diseased plants, spread with the air flow, conidia falling on the tip of the heart and leaves, in the event of appropriate conditions that germinate invade the young leaves of sugar cane. The diseased part produces conidia for reinfection. High temperature and high humidity in the sugarcane field or long-term drought in case of rain or irrigation is more susceptible to disease. Insufficient nitrogen fertilizer, thin or partial plant growth, over-application of nitrogen fertilizer, plant tissue tenderness, excessive growth and weight. Yuegan 54/176, Yuesu 57/423 and Shun 66/166 were more susceptible.

Control methods (1) Use Guilin 57/624, Yuesu 63/23 and other disease-resistant varieties. (2) Advocate the application of enzyme composting or composting organic manure sufficiently, adopt formula fertilization technology, pay attention to reasonable application of N, P and K to avoid partial application and over-application of nitrogen fertilizer. (3) Renovate the drainage and irrigation system and remove the accumulated water in time. (4) Strengthen management, promptly remove old leaves, clear invalid births, and remove diseased plants. (5) The severe ward is sprayed with 1:1:100-fold Bole poly liquid or 30% green detergent suspension 500 times and 50% benomyl wettable powder 1000-1200 times in the initial stage of disease, separated by 7-10. Once a day, continuous control 3 to 4 times.

Nitroxinil Injection is indicated for the treatment of fascioliasis (infestations of mature and immature Fasciola hepatica) in cattle and sheep. It is also effective, at the recommended dose rate, against adult and larval infestations of Haemonchus contortus in cattle and sheep and Haemonchus placei, Oesophagostomum radiatum and Bunostomum phlebotomum in cattle.

Contra indications.
