Melon bagging cultivation technology

1 Variety selection

Thin paper bags or plastic bags, although having good permeability, are easily damaged and will not achieve the effect of the bagging. The production can choose to use a paper bag (a single-layer paper bag with a size of 16 centimeters and 20 centimeters) used for avocado pears to bag melons.

3 bagging time

It takes about half a month before the beet is ripe. At this point, the size of the melon has been basically set and no longer grows. If the bagging is too early, it will have an impact on the further growth of melon and it is easy to reduce production; if the bagging is late, the purpose of bagging will not be achieved.

4 bagging methods

Dew will be bagged at 10:00 am every day, and the melons with good melon shape, no disease, and high position of health will be selected for bagging before bagging. After the paper bag is taken out, the paper bag is first opened by hand. When the bag is placed, the paper bag is held in one hand, the handle is held in one hand, and the paper bag is gently placed on the melon. Then, the bag mouth is folded and sealed with both hands to prevent the paper bag from falling off. After bagging, be careful not to wet the paper bag when it is watering, causing the paper bag to break.

5 Picking time

If it is a sugar-less variety, remove the paper bag 3 to 5 days before picking to promote sugar accumulation; if it is a high-sugar variety, pick it off when the melon is ripe, and remove the paper bag when it is packed. You can.
