The Symptoms and Prevention of Wheat Deficiency

In the process of growth and development of wheat, the lack of a certain kind of nutrients causes the internal nutrition metabolism of the plant to be destroyed, and the symptoms of deficiency of the plant appear outside the plant.

Deficiency molybdenum: first occurs in the front part of the leaves, the legs of the leaves are green, and then on the full-leaf leaves at the lower part of the heart, small, yellow-white stains appear along the veins, and gradually become linear and flaky. Finally, the front part of the blade is dried and the entire whole leaf is dry.

This type of molybdenum deficiency occurs mostly in acidic soils, especially in wheat fields with sandy soil or chemical nitrogen fertilizers. After onset, 0.05% ammonium molybdate solution can be used and sprayed on the leaves for 2 to 3 times. The interval time is about 10 days.

Manganism deficiency: Wheat is sensitive to manganese, and high yield wheat is more likely to be lacking. Manganese deficiency is mainly manifested in the chlorosis of the upper leaves of the plants and white stripes between the veins, commonly known as "white leaves." When remedy, use 0.05 to 0.1% manganese sulfate solution 50-75 kg per 667 square meters, spraying 1 or 2 times. Note that the concentration should not be too high.

Boron deficiency: The wheat lacks Mn, the plant leaves become thick, and the upper leaves are twisted and scorched. The leaves are brittle and easy to break, and the root epidermis turns black. The top meristem of the plant died and the top branch occurred. Caused the filament stretch and delivery is not normal, pollination was obstructed and "bleeding disease" appeared.

In the case of boron deficiency in wheat, the effective boron content in the soil is generally lower than 1 μg/ml, which occurs. Prevention and control of boron deficiency, in addition to the application of borax 0.5-1 kg per 667 square meters before sowing (evenly mixed in the superphosphate as the base fertilizer), but also in the wheat tillering and jointing stage, with 0.02 ~ 0.025% of boric acid , Or 0.03 ~ 0.05% of the borax solution for foliar spray, every 667 square meters of 509 kg each time, can effectively prevent and cure wheat "no ear disease", improve the heading rate of wheat.

Zinc deficiency: Deficiency of zinc can inhibit the growth of wheat until it stops growing and causes a disease.

Zinc deficiency in wheat is prone to occur in acidic, sandy soils where zinc deficiency is neutral, calcareous, and leaching, and in land where paddy fields have just returned due to prolonged flooding. Control can be used during the growth of wheat, with 0.02 ~ 0.2% of zinc sulfate solution for foliar spray, every 667 square meters each time with 25 to 50 kg, and even spray 2 or 3 times. Note: Zinc sulphate cannot be mixed with phosphate fertilizers during spraying and dressing. (Feng Xiaolu)
