The pods are mainly 2–4 per plant, with a yield rate of 33–35%. Fresh seeds weigh around 330 grams, while dried seeds range from 190 to 200 grams. According to tests conducted by the Central Laboratory of the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, fresh kernels contain 7.38% crude protein, 6.13% total amino acids, 0.6% crude fat, 10.1% starch, 2.8% crude fiber, 0.8% sucrose, 0.2% reducing sugar, 4.69 mg calcium per 100g, and 200 mg phosphorus per 100g. Field investigations by the Plant Protection Institute of the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences found that leaf spot and ring spot diseases occurred mildly, while no disease was observed on stems or pods. Yield Performance: After several years of trial planting in Fuzhou, Nanping, Ningde, and Quanzhou, the average yield is about 650 kilograms per mu. Cultivation Techniques: It is suitable for sowing in mid-October in northern regions and late October in southern areas. A planting density of 1,800–2,000 plants per acre is recommended. After sowing, it's important to maintain soil moisture during the seedling, budding, and grain-filling stages, while avoiding waterlogging. When the plant reaches about 40 cm in height, the main stem should be removed promptly. Once 90% or more of the field has flowering branches, topping and thinning should be carried out, leaving 5–7 branches per plant. Special attention should be given to controlling aphids, red spot disease, and ring spot disease.
