FRP is a well-established new building material in China. The glass and steel structure biogas digesters mainly include glass fiber reinforced plastics and biogas digesters. At present, the largest number of applications in our province is the glass fiber reinforced plastic biogas digester.


First, the characteristics of glass fiber reinforced plastics


The glass-fiber reinforced plastic gas pool is a biogas tank in which the gas box of the digester is made of fiberglass, and the rest of the plant uses a methane tank with a brick-concrete or concrete structure. Through more than four years of practice, it has the following characteristics: First, the total cost of investment is small. Although the initial pool construction cost is slightly higher than that of an ordinary biogas digester in the same pool, there is basically no need for maintenance during the built-up life period (more than 20 years), while the ordinary biogas digesters must maintain the airbox part every 3-5 years. The total cost is higher than that of the glass fiber reinforced plastics. The second is the effect of gas production. Because the pores of polymer fiberglass materials are 110-10m, the pores of concrete are 510-8 m, and the diameter of methane molecules is 410-9 m, so under the pressure, the molecular diameter of methane determines that biogas can easily seep from the concrete structure. Leakage, because the diameter of methane molecules is 40 times larger than the pore size of FRP material structure, it is difficult for methane molecules to pass through the glass steel methane tank arch cover, thereby greatly improving the anti-leakage level of the methane tank. The third is quick and easy construction. The air box is the key part of the construction quality of the biogas tank. The glass fiber reinforced plastic arch cover is used as the biogas tank air box, which not only guarantees reliable quality, but also eliminates the complicated procedures of “three wipes, four brushes and seven layers” for the air box of ordinary biogas tanks. The construction period can be shortened by 3-4 days and the number of technicians can be reduced by 2 working days. This is generally applicable in our province.


Second, the glass fiber reinforced plastic lid volume


In order to reduce costs, facilitate transportation, and increase the compressive strength, the production company determined the diameter of the glass fiber reinforced plastic digester cover to be 2.32 meters through repeated tests. To build a biogas digester with glass fiber reinforced plastic, the depth of the pool body is only 15-35cm longer than that of an ordinary biogas digester, and the capacity of the tank can reach 6-8 cubic meters, and it is beneficial to increase the pool temperature in winter and increase gas production. Biogas digesters with a capacity of 6-8 cubic meters can produce up to 1.5-1.8 cubic meters of biogas per day. Because farmers use gas, the effective volume of the gas box is 1 cubic meter, and the capacity of the glass fiber reinforced plastic digester is 2.02 cubic meters. 6-8 m3 digester gas storage needs. In order to standardize the technology for the construction of biogas digesters with glass fiber reinforced plastics, our province has compiled the “Map for the construction of biogas digesters of glass fiber reinforced plastics” on the basis of the National Atlas of Domestic Biogas Digesters, which has been supervised and tested by the Ministry of Agriculture for the supervision of the quality of biogas products and equipment. The center is compiled into the “Compilation of Rural Household Biogas Pools”. The biogas digester with a capacity of 6-8 cubic meters is suitable for farmers with 3-5 pigs. If there are more than 5 pigs in stock, the effective volume of the gas tank will be occupied by excrement through repairing a larger-capacity digester or constructing double pools. , The problem of insufficient gas storage.


Third, the comparison of the overall glass gas digester and glass fiber reinforced plastics


From the perspective of applications in and out of the province in recent years, the biogas digester of FRP Arch covers is more mature than the overall FRP biogas digester technology. Although the overall glass steel biogas digesters are more convenient to construct, there are two main problems: First, the overall cost of biogas digesters in FRP is high. Due to the high price of FRP materials, the overall cost of FRP biogas digesters under the same volume is more than 30% higher than that of FRP arch biogas digesters; at the same price, the overall capacity of FRP biogas digesters is necessarily smaller than that of FRP arch cover biogas digesters. The second is that the integrated body of the glass-fiber digester is easily broken at the joints with the inlet and outlet pipes. After the digester feeds, due to its own weight, if the ground treatment is slightly false or uneven, the sinking of the pool is likely to occur, resulting in the joint of the pool body with the inlet and outlet pipe, and the bottom of the pool. It is easily broken by stones in the foundation.
