First, adjust the proportion of male and female breeder

The ratio of males and females is generally 1:12 to 15 for light chickens, 1:10 to 12 for medium-sized chickens, and 1:8 to 10 for heavy chickens. This can increase the fertilization rate of eggs.

Second, properly store eggs

1. Shorten the storage period. The hatching period of the general breeding eggs does not exceed 7 days before hatching. In the optimum storage environment, the hatching rate of the breeding eggs begins to decrease after 7 days.

2. During the storage of the eggs, cover them with a plastic film to prevent the eggs from dehydrating excessively during storage. Using this method can improve the hatching rate of 1.3% to 3%.

3. Temperature and humidity of eggs during storage period. The temperature within a week of storage is 16°C to 17°C, and preferably 10°C to 12°C over a week. The relative humidity is generally kept at 75% to 80% to prevent evaporation of moisture in eggs.

4. Keep the egg upright while keeping the eggs upright. The inside of the incubator should be head down and a high hatching rate can be obtained.

Third, do a good job in the seven stages of incubation

1. On the 15th day after the eggs are hatched, place an airtight film on the shell to reduce the air-permeable area of ​​the shell by 13%. This will increase the hatching rate, and the hatched chicks will develop well and grow rapidly.

2. Spray. During hatching, spraying with ordinary clean water 4 times a week, the hatching rate of fertilized eggs can be increased by 7.3% to 25%.

3. Use anion generator. The slight negative ionization of air in the incubator has a positive effect on hatching quality and hatching rate. In the incubator with an air ion concentration of 1 to 300,000 ions per square centimeter, the hatching rate can be increased by 6.5% to 11.4%.

4. Lighting at hatching speeds up hatching without increasing deformity and mortality. Light incubation shortens the incubation time by 36 to 48 hours. The chicks hatched by light had a large body size, and the effect of weight gain was obvious. The opening age was 5 days ahead of schedule.

5. The temperature of the incubation period. The general temperature of 37 °C ~ 39.5 °C incubation temperature. If the temperature is too high or too low, the incubation period will be shortened or extended, and the fetal death rate will increase.

6. Control of humidity is the key to successful incubation. The exact method for determining the optimum humidity during hatching is to periodically weigh the same hatching egg sample within 1 to 18 days after hatching. The hatching egg should lose about 0.7% of the weight per day. In principle, the humidity is high in the middle and low in the middle. The humidity in 1 to 7 days of incubation is 60% to 65%, 5 to 55% in 10 to 18 days, and 57% to 60% in 19 to 21 days.

Chicks are generally shelled out in 20-22 days, but some chicks are unable to break shells.
